19 "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Proverbs 3:5-12

Proverbs 14:8-12
8 The wise look ahead to see what is coming, but fools deceive themselves.⁹ Fools make fun of guilt, but the godly acknowledge it and seek reconciliation.¹⁰ Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can fully share its joy.¹¹ The house of the wicked will perish, but the tent of the godly will flourish.¹² There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.

Hosea 14:1-4
Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for your sins have brought you down. ² Bring your petitions, and return to the Lord. Say to him, "Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you the sacrifice of praise. ³ Assyria cannot save us, nor can our strength in battle. Matthew 7:17-27

²¹ "Not all people who sound religious are really godly. They may refer to me as ‘Lord,’ but they still won’t enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The decisive issue is whether they obey my Father in heaven. ²² On judgment day many will tell me, ‘Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ ²³ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized.’
Building on a Solid Foundation
²⁴ "Anyone who listens to my teaching and obeys me is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. ²⁵ Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse, because it is built on rock. ²⁶ But anyone who hears my teaching and ignores it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. ²⁷ When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will fall with a mighty crash."

Galatians 6:7-10
7 Don’t be misled. Remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it. You will always reap what you sow! ⁸ Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful desires will harvest the consequences of decay and death. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. ⁹ So don’t get tired of doing what is good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. ¹⁰ Whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone, especially to our Christian brothers and sisters.
